Pluie/Noir Podcast 015
"Filling the Inexplicable Void"
Pluie/Noir Podcast is a bi-monthly audio-visual episode representing our work as an artist collective. Each episode will feature a one hour collage/mix by one of our producers/djs and a poster triptych by one of our designers.
We interviewed both artists and dropped some questions about their vision:
How've you been?
Had a super busy summer, doing freelance works and working on personal collections and a personal website (that should be up soon).
No vacations so far, but I'm happy nonetheless.
This is your debut as audio podcaster. Is this project of yours also about music?
Yes indeed. It's an alias for graphic design and also for my no-strings-attached music production hours. Free thinking and no-fear creativity. It's a nice feeling when you create music with absolutely nobody or nowhere in mind. It's just you, alone.
What inspires you the most in music?
Weirdness. Something that creates a reaction in your psyche. Either it's joy or even the most unnerving feeling in the world. Like a painting, if it moves you, it's worth it. It's one of the main reasons I listen to a lot of really old electronic music between the 40's and the 70's, people were bold back then, really enjoying the experimentations and simply doing their thing and being excited with it, with the noise, with music.
Your podcast sounds a bit introspective. What can you tell us about it?
It's introspective yes. It's made of 8 movements, 4 layered tracks on each (except the last movement, that goes simple and mixes only 2). So it's like 4 different mixes layered on top of each other. Some spontaneous production and post-production on it, and it was done. The music in it is the music I usually hear when i'm working, it concentrates me, even though its a bit distracting for most people, I got used to working with this kind of music. It goes from early 40's electronic experimentations to 2012's best travelers in music. I called it "Filling the Inexplicable Void" since there's not a single silent or un-layered moment there, and also because I feel the music world has a creative void at the moment, you need to dig in order to fill.
My personal website will be up in September with all my graphic works, and I'm working on a conceptual album with a lot of foley and field recordings.
Welcome back! How are you?
Im good,still hoochie mooch!
What have you been doing lately, music and artistic-wise?
Trying to learn how to produce my own sound, painting a lot and would be nice if I finish some monologues.
Your triptych is intriguing. What can you tell us about it?
First one is made with lipstick, and is Jafar. The one in the middle is how I see hans trygvel, and the gold one is my friend unconnue.
Again, how's Olimp0?
At this moment im trying to make something out of it, it's quite hard but I know i'm on the right path.
Everyday is valentine`s day..
